The Wall Street Journal
Home Depot Inc.'s (HD) fiscal first-quarter earnings jumped 41% on margin and sales growth as results beat analysts' estimates.
The biggest home-improvement retailer also raised its current-year forecast to earnings from continuing operations of about $1.88 a share on a sales increase of about 3.5%. In February, the company had forecast earnings of $1.79 on 2.5% same-store-sales growth.
